Coinbase Wallet has transitioned to a new platform named Base, which offers an improved user experience currently in development. It provides a unified environment for creating, trading, and earning within the global onchain community. Existing Coinbase Wallet features remain accessible within the Base ecosystem.

Base serves as a comprehensive gateway for exploring cryptocurrency and onchain ecosystems. It functions as a secure onchain wallet and browser, empowering users with control over their digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, NFTs, DeFi activities, and other digital holdings.

Supported assets include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), USD Coin (USDC), Avalanche (AVAX), Polygon (MATIC), BNB Chain (BNB), Optimism (OP), Tether (USDT), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), and all Ethereum-compatible chains.

For individuals entering the crypto space, Base offers several features:

• An onchain environment where users can earn monthly rewards by holding USDC, participate in DeFi yield-generating activities, collect NFTs, join DAOs, and more
• Easier pathways to convert cash into crypto and alternative payment options
• Real-time updates on market trends, including significant price movements, top-performing coins, trending assets, and other relevant information
• Accessibility in over 25 languages across more than 170 countries, facilitating user engagement in their preferred language

Eligible users can earn up to 4.1% APY by simply holding USDC in their wallet. This allows funds to remain liquid and readily accessible at all times.
